Presentation

Team + 2...you all did such a great job presenting at the meeting yesterday. I am so proud to work with folks like you who strive to learn more and find so many ways to reach kids. We are a wealth of knowledge when you put us all together!

This is the letter(in wordle format) that people are referring to when they mention Tavis's famous letter written from San Antonio de Valero. Travis wrote 7 letters according to my research from "The Alamo".
How do you get to wordle and post it. Also I want to be like yall and have a cartoon picture too

Google Docs

I used Google Docs to make an alternate assignment for a student in Language Arts. It was easy to use and placing the form on my teacherweb was a snap. This saved so much time because I was able to work from home as well as school without having to carry a memory stick or worry that something was on the school server.

I am going to explore other ways to use this tool as I become more familiar with it. Right now I'm still exploring the "how to" side.

Google Docs

Hey all. Went to Justin's training a few weeks ago. Looking at google docs to keep all my documents. I can upload, edit and share from anywhere. It looks like a good option instead of carrying around (losing!) my flashdrive or filling up everyone's inboxes with attached documents.

comic strips

I'm not sure if this is the same site as Len's, but this is a free easy to use cartoon site. It doesn't have alot of options but you can write anything you want in the word bubbles (numbers, symbols, even write in foreign languages). I don't know if the image will make it over but I made a joke about the dog attending an International BARKlaureate school. Get it!!???

Sushi is not just for lunch anymore!

I loved the site Vocabulary Sushi! I was really excited about being able to locate articles that highlighted words from the level I chose. Using words in context to building vocabulary is so useful. The levels are fairly high and might not be useful for some of the students with lower reading abilities that I work with, but it would prove useful for direct teach of new words.

For those with students getting ready for college or graduate school, it has GRE level words as well as words on the ACT. WOW! I sure do wish this had been around when I was getting ready for those.

My only qualm for this is that you can't add your own words, but thanks to quizlet, I can do that there for review and study purposes.
